Before you trade

Check the chain, the token, its pairing asset and its stage. The market header shows the contract address and the creator’s links. A name or ticker can be copied, so verify the token before you trade: every ALPHA token address ends in a1fa, and the Verify a token page shows how to confirm it on chain.

Buy and Sell trade directly. The button checks the quote and opens your wallet. A confirmation appears first only when the price impact is above 10%. Every trade is one confirmation in your wallet. On Solana, a sell into SOL from a market paired with another asset sells and swaps the proceeds to SOL in the same transaction.

Approvals

On EVM chains you never need to approve an ALPHA token before you sell it. The token has a built-in allowance for its own market and ALPHA’s fixed trading routers only. Those routers can only move tokens from the wallet that calls them, inside a trade that wallet started, and none of them can be changed or upgraded. Tokens held by the curve and by the locked pool are never covered.

Paying with an ERC-20 pairing asset such as USDC needs an approval. A wallet that can batch calls confirms the approval and the trade together, once; with other wallets you pay in the native currency instead. Paying with the native currency, such as ETH, needs no approval. Be wary of any request to approve a launched token for a contract you do not recognize.

Trading on the curve

Before graduation, buys and sells trade against the market’s bonding curve. The price comes from the curve’s formula and the amount sold so far.

A quote is a snapshot. Another trade can land first and change what you receive, so every request carries a minimum output and a deadline. If the result would be worse or too late, the trade fails and nothing is spent except the network fee.

Trading after graduation

After graduation, trades go through the market’s pool: Uniswap v4 on EVM chains, and Meteora DAMM v2 on Solana. ALPHA routes only to the exact pool the market graduated into, never to a similarly named one, and the same trading fee applies. On Solana the pool also charges Meteora’s separate venue fee, shown in the review.

Slippage and price impact

Price impact estimates how much your order moves the price. Slippage tolerance sets the worst result your trade accepts. Neither is a fee. A large order can move a small market sharply even inside your slippage tolerance.

Confirmation

A signature request is not a completed trade, and a transaction hash is not yet a settled one. ALPHA shows a trade as done only once the chain confirms it. If you reject the signature, nothing is sent. If the page closes mid-trade, the saved transaction hash lets you check the result, and reloading never sends a new transaction by itself.

Charts and market data

Simple and Pro charts use the same market data. The change over the selected chart range is separate from the 24-hour change. When data is delayed or missing, ALPHA labels it instead of showing a guessed value.
